October 2016 Fall Board Meeting
October 3-6, 2016 Anaheim CA
Board members gathered once again in Anaheim CA to continue planning for the upcoming short course scheduled for April 10-13 2017. Highlights of the meeting included:

New Board Members - Casey Seely of Williams was voted in as a new board member.

Review of 2016 Roundtable costs.

Registration cost for 2017 Short Course set at $395.

Registration for the 2017 Short Course is scheduled to open on December 1st.

Conference Mobile App - The board approved the 1st time ever use of a mobile app at the 2017 Short Course. It will be used in addition to the binders used in past years.

Vendor Booths =-Approximately 110 8x10 vendor booths will be available for puchase on December 1, 2016.

Vendor Night - Vendor night will be held at the brand new House of Blues.

May 2016 Spring Board Meeting
May 4-5, Anaheim CA
The spring board meeting was held following the Roundtable. The committee welcomed the City of Long Beach as a new member company. New board members included Eric Stachowiak (Long Beach), Eric Sherman (Long Beach), Brett Hudson (Cascade) and Cirnest Cornell (SDG&E). Key topics covered at the meeting included a review of the Roundtable and suggestions for improvement and preliminary planning of the 2017 short course.

2016 Roundtable
May 3-4, Anaheim CA
85 industry professionals attended the Roundtable this year in Anaheim CA. Topics included meter maintenance intervals, ultrasonic and coriolis meter results, differential testing, where volume correctors are installed, calibration, regulator station design, odorization, farm taps, sulfur issues, AMR/AMI modules, pressure monitors in use, new standards, and SCADA.

The 2016 Roundtable and 2017 Short Course will take place at the Marriott in Anaheim CA. Mike Bermel of Southern California Gas is leading the effort on behalf of WGMSC.

Greater Functionality for WGMSC Website

The WGMSC website has been revamped with a fresh look and feel. According to Michael Garvey, WGMSC Publicity Chairman, "Our aim is to provide greater functionality and improve the user experience for WGMSC events." The new website includes a variety of new features that should benefit users and facilitate site maintenance. Michael served as the project manager and creative design for the new site. Courtney Brandt, an engineering intern at EN Engineering assisted with logistics and back end coordination of domain transfer to a new service provider. Jim Pugh, WGMSC webmaster, provided key content input and logistics support.
